Shorts are a great indicator of decades – their length varies through the ages as styles come and go. Throughout the '90s we saw hemlines start to lengthen as we moved away from the shorty-shortness which dominated much of the late '70s and early '80s. As running took hold of the world, the idea of athletic apparel – including shorts – became commonplace.
